Vienna, Austria

20 - 24 November 2023

The first kick-off meeting of IP-PAD took place in Vienna during a 5-day event. DCs received an intensive training on the topics below:

 

  • Political science meets psychology and neuroscience: theoretical, conceptual and methodological issues

  • ​Political science for psychologists and neuroscientists: political science perspectives on key theoretical concepts

​

  • Key theoretical perspectives on brain development and interactions between cognition and affect

​

  • ​Open Science & Research Integrity

​

  • Overview of ethical issues specific to the research of the Network

​

  • ​Social safety

Athens, Greece

28 February - 1 March 2024

The IP-PAD network met at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens during a 3-day event.

DCs received an intense training in Statistics for social sciences. Topics such as multilevel modeling for longitudinal data, pre-registration and eye tracking were covered. An invited talk by the Greek Deputy Ombudswoman for children’s rights sparked a lot of interest.

Brussels, Belgium

22 May 2024

The Joint Research Centre (JRC), one of our secondment partners, will give a training on “evidence-informed policymaking training” for DCs and interested PIs.

Krakow, Poland

9 - 11 October 2024

The IP-PAD network met in Krakow during a 3-day event. DCs were trained in academic writing and grant writing. They also had the opportunity to give presentations on their research projects and receive feedback. A guest lecture by a City Office expert, focused on Krakow's Youth Social Activity Program, sparked great interest.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands

5 - 7 November 2025

A training in data visualization and communication skills is planned in November 2025 in Amsterdam. More information will follow... Stay tuned!
